Any Opinions Welcomed

This may sound weird or even dumb but I have to ask because I don't know who else to ask, (ive tried making an appointment with my obgyn but they dont have any open for a while) Okay the last few times I've put in a tampon it's like the applicator hit something and wouldn't go any farther and this has happened before except this time after I got the actual tampon in it continuously hurt and caused bad cramps that turned into what felt like contractions. I took the tampon out and the cramping stopped. I'm just wondering what this could be. Also, I'm on Skyla IUD birth control and I'm planning on getting it taken out in February because of the cramps I'm having my doctor just wants me to try one last type of medicine. Any info or experience with this would be very much appreciated.
