How long does a wax last?

So last time I had a baby I was just trimming up down there, but once I had him I tore and ended up getting about 9 stitches. I was swollen and sore for weeks and I was uncomfortable shaving while everything was healing up down there so this time I want to get a wax before the baby’s born. I was to plan a good time before my due date that will give me time for it not to get uncomfortably long before I can shave again
