Babies with Alcohol Names?

Question

I have a son named Killian and am expecting another little boy. I love the name Jameson but do people automatically think of the liquor? Killian is a type of beer (even though he is named after a saint) but most people don't realize it. However, Jameson is more widely known. Is it too much to have two babies with the same name as alcohol. And for those wondering, I don't even drink so it has no association to throw alcohol.

Both names are perfectly fine, but if you give 2 kids alcohol names it looks intentional. Like if you named your daughters Lilly and Rose....you just happened to like the names, but it looks like you tried to name both after flowers.

So I forgot about the beer.... and Jameson is becoming more popular as a regular name. I think some people will make the connection but others won’t. Normally I’m like “wtf are people doing naming heir kids alcohol?” But that’s like when people name heir kids “tequila or martini. Hahaha.... I’m also pretty sure my husband ran into a mom and daughter on the train and her daughter’s name was Vodka..... what an asshole! I hate people like that! That’s just so wrong. Anyway, since I feel so strongly about hating on those people you should know i DONT think this is that bad and I like he fact that you’re questioning this choice. It means you care and have a brain. But also, these are irish names and you can just say you like Irish names. There’s bound to be at least one liquor associated with each and every irish name 😂🤣😂🤣😂

My little boy is named Jameson and no one ever comments on the association with alcohol. He goes by Jamie most of the time, and we're not really drinkers anyway. I think it's a great name and you should go for it 😊

I know a Jameson and anytime he gives his name (be it meeting someone new or calling to make reservations for dinner) he gets "oh like the whiskey?" (Next question- "are you Irish?")
Good name, but be prepared cuz There's apparently a lot of irish whiskey fans out there lol

My first son is Killian, so when we found out #2 was also a boy we joked we'd keep the theme. Johnnie, Jim, Jack or Jameson. Lol He was almost Jameson, even though it was originally a joke. 🙈 The name was just too dang cute that we kept going back to it. Ended up with a different name, but that was only to name him after a relative who passed away while I was pregnant.  I say go for it!!

No, just tell anyone who points that out that you don’t even drink. But ultimately you’re raising two individuals who will eventually grow up and have their own lives and perhaps start their own families. You don’t really need to think of your children’s names in terms of how they relate to each other.
