Baby sprinkle

Is it appropriate to have a baby sprinkle with the second baby? It’s been three years since my first was born, and I didn’t think I’d be having anymore kids anytime soon.... if ever... so I got rid of every single thing of hers from her infant stages. I also didn’t have a baby shower with her because of my situation with the father at the time and because I had an incredibly rough pregnancy. Is it wrong to have a small baby shower and to celebrate my baby? And if people want to buy/bring things they can?
