My friend bailed out on me and I am nervous

I was going to room with my friend at the college I am going to next year. She is possibly bailing out on me because she got accepted into another university that she didn’t think she would get into. Even after all our planning and stuff she is saying she might reconsider and go to the other college. 🙄 She said she will have her mind made up by February but I can’t wait until February!!

The possibility of me going into college alone scares me. I have minor social anxiety and sometimes it is hard for me to break out of my shell. I wanna room with someone who will want to go to parties with me and stuff. I’m afraid I will room with someone who won’t want to do that and I will have to go by myself. Just the thought of me going into college alone scares me because I am terrified I won’t make any friends and I will be lonely. :( How do I start a conversation with someone???
