Too early?

I was in a domestic violent relationship. For almost 4 years. I was beaten, stomped, drowned, chocked, whipped, cut, etc. my boyfriend knows all this. In my Christmas note to him I want to tell him that I believe I went through all that because I was meant to meet him and that's what I just had to do. We've only been together 10 months. But we live together, he's talked about our future, and he seems to be serious about me. But is that too much to say to someone?
