Boyfriend is distant

So my boyfriend and i started dating a few weeks ago. At first he was obsessed with me. Always texting and always calling me beautiful and gorgeous and all that. And within the past week he’s been kinda distant. We only text a few times a day. Sometimes he leave my snapchats opened. I just don’t know what this means. I know he has had some family issues on his mind but i don’t think that should stop him from answering a message he already read and opened. What’s should i do without being clingy ?
