Bleeding after see with IUD?

Husband and I just had sex and I got the IUD put in 5 days ago. I was only able to feel the strings the 2nd day after getting it inserted they are extremely short because I could just feel the very tips at the opening of my cervix and since then I haven’t been able to feel them. I was told that’s fine. But just after sex I was spotting again and I haven’t spotted in a few days. Is that normal. I’m not in any pain so I’m assuming the IUD is still where it’s supposed to be even though I can’t find the strings.
