When do you announce you are pregnant?

This will be our second child, I am super excited because we have been trying forever so I want to announce with first sonogram but worry because it’s not second trimester yet. How many people announce before second trimester ?

I told everyone at 3 weeks lol I thought I was farther than that. I would much rather have my family's support if I miscarried than do it alone.

We’ve been telling family at our Christmas gatherings lol. I’m only 5.5 weeks, but we don’t see all of our family very often. They’re all so excited for us, so I’m glad we did 😊

We tell our immediate family pretty much when we find out. This is my third baby, I’ve never had a MC but if I do I would want my family to be aware and not want to feel as though I had to pretend it never happened. I would only have to tell my mom and she would notify the rest that knew. After 12 weeks we do a Facebook announcement.

It’s up to you.  
Some people hold back until 12 weeks and they’ve had their first scan and checks.  Others wait until 20 weeks for the second scan and all the checks to be done.  
The reason some people hold back is because announcing your pregnant to the world is great but if you mc in the first trimester, it’s hard to announce that.  
If it’s still very early choose close friends and family to tell.  The ones you know will be there for you if things go wrong.  Hold off telling the world (social media) until your further along.  
However, it is, ultimately your decision.

I want to wait past 12 if I can hide it. I'm not a skinny stick so my work in my favor 😂😂😂 plus scared of miscarriage with hashimotos/hypothyroid

We announced at 12wks with our first (after the first scan), but are telling family over Christmas this time because I'm so nauseous and SO bloated it's ridiculous (my mum has already asked me if I'm pregnant lol). Also, we had a loss at 6wks back in September and I felt like I couldn't talk about it, as nobody even knew we were pregnant.

with my first we announced around 7-8 weeks. this one we only plan on telling our parents until we get an ultrasound. (telling them tomorrow, Christmas day so we'll be about 6 almost 7 weeks)
