Boyfriend took back baby gifts to buy...

My baby father took back our daughter gifts to buy him some weed and a bottle of white remy. And he said I’m wrong for getting mad because I suggested him to take it the things he did buy and exchange it. He bought gifts for 2+ years and she’s 9 months but I told him if that’s what he wants for then keep it for her. Okay so he told he got a refund and spent some of it on weed and a bottle?! I got furious because technically that’s her gift money right? He told me he can get her a few things but she’ll have to wait 2 weeks to get everything. But he had enough before he spent it on himself. So I broke up with him and he thinks I’m wrong... am I wrong ?
