My child will have only have a few for family, is that normal or bad ?

My child will have me, Dad, Grandma and maybe one auntie and host of distant family. But closely only three or four family members I'm devasted that the child will not have family like did. I had grandmas and aunties and uncles and cousins and now my family has been so torn by death and other situations and now more are distant from me. I don't know is that bad for the child ? I don't know exactly how to make it better.

I have a huge family and I'm not very close to them, but my husband's family is small and they're very close and I would choose to be close to my family and get love from a few people as opposed to a big family that barely talks to eachother

My hubby family is small but so close. It doesn't matter how big or small the family is its about the bond/love they share.

I said somewhat in the middle just because it isn't MY norm but I've experienced it. I come from a HUGE family. There's 50 of us and growing. (grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins/cousin in laws, second cousins.) Plus we're close to my grandma's sisters which add another 30. I wouldn't have it any other way. 
Now on the flip side, my husband has maybe 15 people I've met. I've been with my husband for 9 years, I still haven't met cousins. 🤷
At the end of the day it isn't about quantity, rather quality. Take the time to let your child get to know what family you have. Grow a bond with them. (S)he will grow up loving the family you do have. Even if it isn't what you've experienced growing up.

Honey it is not your fault, or mostly anyone else's. You can't help your family's situation and I promise you, your baby will be just fine. I worry quite often to myself about my baby not having a grandpa on my side (my dad died when I was 14), but then I remember baby has 2 grandpa's on his/her daddy's side (my husband's father and step-father), and will be just fine! It will all be okay, and I'm sure your baby will be just as, if not more, grateful that they have any family at all, and it may make your baby closer to the family!
