Can I have sex?

So basically I’m 4 weeks pp and I have my pp appointment tomorrow but I can’t make it because I had to leave the city due to personal family issues. And I won’t be back home for another 2-3 weeks, I was wondering if I can have sex. This was my second child. I did get stitches during delivery but I feel fine and I do feel like they have healed somewhat. What do you think?

Wait. There’s a reason you are asked to wait. It’s for safety and health. Some people get in car accidents and they aren’t wearing seatbelts and come out alive. Do you not wear your seatbelt because of those few people?

I did it before my pp check up and I'm fine. I felt fine whenever I did it again I wasn't bleeding and I also had stitches from the birth but I did make sure I felt ok. And then by the time my check up came my doctor told me everything looked perfectly fine.

To be honest, we did when I was almost 5 weeks postpartum. I haven’t been to the OB for my 6 week checkup yet. Yes I hear all the time that I should have waited and yadda yadda but I live to tell the tale- so I think we’re all good here lol. Plus there’s some women who go into their 6 week postpartum appointment and find out they’re pregnant again, so obviously something went down there lol. I say as long as your bleeding has stopped and you haven’t had any complications and you are feeling back to yourself, try it out! But make sure to use protection! That minimizes the risk of infection (and another baby 😉)

With being that far pp i think you’d be fine. I had sex 3 weeks after my son and regretted it so much, if you feel your body is ready then i don’t see the problem.

I did it a at less that 2 weeks pp from a c-section 🙈🙈🙈🙈 and everything turned out fine for me 😂😂😂 but I’m not a doctor
