Moving on to gestational carrier?

Ttc for past ten yrs. I have an ovulatory do (but not pcos), high risk due to history of clots and some uterine scarring. Plus moderate male factor infertility. 3 iuis, failed and one round if Ivf failed. We were moving on to adoption then connected to someone (not a stranger) who offered to carry for us with our one remaining embryo. I'm worried that this is our only embryo and if it fails, we are out time and more $$. Doing more Ivf to generate more embryos would be tough but could do it. We feel this is the best option. Dr says she thinks I should carry. Thoughts?
