I got married 2.5 years ago, my dad’s side came but not one person on my mom’s side did. They actually didn’t return their RSVP cards and told my mom they would be coming, with the exception of a few (this aunt I’m going to talk about told my mom she couldn’t make it). I had a cousin who got married this year and they all made it to his wedding though, it was on a workday even! I still have hurt feelings over what happened with mine, this cousin that just got married also is the one that texted my mom at my wedding saying they were “on their way and would be there soon”... He was on a cruise...

Well, today my aunt and I were talking and school stuff came up. She mentioned that I wasn’t married and I had to tell her that I was! They were invited, they sent me a card (I believe), they are friends with me and my mom on Facebook where I have my relationship out there and even photos! I’m so incredibly irritated by this. When she said this I wasn’t expecting it and I know I wasn’t very nice about it, my mom said she could tell it pissed me off. To me it just shows where I stand with her side, especially after everything that happened.

Am I over reacting or do I have a legit reason to be pissed? I would be perfectly fine with never seeing that side of the family again, I only went to Christmas today because my grandparents are getting old and everything that’s happened isn’t their fault. They are on my side with it all too.
