IUD pregnancy thoughts?

Question

Been having cramps a lot lately. My period started on the 17th and ended on the 20th And was extremely light and more pinkish than normal. Lost of appetite lately and Feeling a little nausea today. I’m currently hungry but thinking about food makes me want to puke. I’ve had the skyla IUD since 04/2016. Took a pregnancy test this morning came back negative. Thoughts? Concerns ?

IUDs trick the body to think your pregnant. Everyone is different but a lot of side effects of IUDs are also “pregnancy symptoms” which can make it difficult to determine what’s going on. I bought a bulk of pregnancy tests to check every couple of weeks because I do get side effects like tender breasts, absent periods, food cravings/aversions, lower back pain, nausea, fatigue - I think those are the most common for me. I take a test every so often for peace of mind. If you’re truly concerned, talk to your doctor and maybe look into different birth control options.
