How are You Feeding Baby? (*Re-Did Poll*)

Why did you choose the method that you did?

Breastfeeding and pumping. Because when I go back to work, she will need to be bottle fed. It’s also nice that daddy can feed her too, especially in the middle of the night.

I breastfed both of my other two children. The first time I did was both out of financial necessity and because it was at a time when the hospital and my ob gyn really pushed the health benefits for baby. My first daughter also completely refused bottles which for sure made it hard to switch her (I tried to supplement a few formula bottles early on when I was so exhausted) 
Second time was because I had enjoyed the first time (let me sit and have quiet moments with my baby that only I could have) and because it really helped me lose the weight I had put on during pregnancy. 
I plan to breastfeed again. It’s what I know and it does really help me get back to my postpartum body.
I’ve owned a pump since the birth of my first but really didn’t like the feeling. I was lucky enough to have one year mat leave so pumping wasn’t something I needed to necessarily do.
All types of feeding are hard and all types have pros and cons. Do what is best for you and your family! Don’t feel guilt for making a choice that fits your family/situation best.

Formula feeding. baby is just over 3 weeks old, and I never had any milk come in.. or colostrum. so our only option is formula, and we've discovered now she's allergic to dairy.

I always wanted to breastfeed so I was so happy when I could. Then with my first I wanted to introduce bottle early so he'd take it. I had plans to pump and leave and pumping was so hard as he never slept. So we ended up using formula to give his reflux medication with. I hated bottles, the faff of it all, listening to my baby cry at night while he waited for it to be made up and medication mixed in. So this time I'm pretty sure I'm sticking to exclusive bfing purely because it's so damn easy. Especially as the months go on.

I had planned on breastfeeding and pumping but our little boy ended up getting joundice so we had to supplement with formula because he was losing too much weight. He is finally better now but we still supplement with formula throughout the day.

I’ll be pumping a little too, once I go back to work in 9 months time. I chose to EBF because I believe it’s best for my child and I’m able to do it. 🙂
