Your Fave is Problematic

2017 has been the year of celebrity callouts for problematic behavior, and I keep hearing that various people are literal garbage or canceled.

While I’m perfectly comfortable canceling abusers like Harvey Weinstein*, what about others who engage in less directly violent behavior?

Microagressions, inappropriate language usage, accepting whitewashed roles, and various other forms of fuckery are super common, but how should we treat it? Are apologies needed? Is not repeating the behavior enough? Should we not hold them to such a high standard, when they may not even be particularly educated in these matters? Are there any specific celebrities whose behavior you consider beyond redemption? Is the quality of the art they create a relevant factor?
