breastfeeding help!

ladies I need help! I just had my daughter via c section she's 3 days old and I can't get her to latch properly. my nipples are so sore and they both have red sore spots on them. Does anyone have any advice that may help me get her latching correctly?

so just to update for anyone who was wondering. My husband ran out and got me some nipple shields and cooling gel pads this morning because my nipples got so sore after last night's feeding struggles that I couldn't stand to breastfeed her. The shield helped with the pain A LOT and the gel pads helped to soothe them way more than the nipple cream has. I managed to pump 3 ounces between both of my breasts after she fed off the left one. I plan to start pumping and alternating so I know that she is getting enough to eat. Thank you so much for your advice and help, I wouldn't have gotten those shields if you hadn't stopped to reply they made a world of difference and I could tell she was able to get more milk with it on.
