Name debate!

My husband and I found out we are having a little boy this time around. When we got pregnant with our first child years ago, if it had been a boy we didn’t want to continue his family name of Joseph Steven. BUT now with the second he’s changed his mind. He is Joseph Steven Hart the fifth. I am NOT on board for having this name continued. In my mind, our child is unique and should have their own name. I don’t want to have to always distinguish who I’m speaking with, especially when we go visit his dad. We discussed coming up with a compromise. Am I a jerk for wanting to have a new name?
