Anyone else's pup being extremely needy lately?

My little lap dog has been kind of a jerk lately about needing to constantly be on me. During my morning sickness phase he was very sympathetic and would come check on me on the bathroom floor (and then go get my husband lol), but since that has eased off I thought maybe he'd go back to normal... I was wrong lol! He just whined for me to pick him up while I was just STANDING in the kitchen- he's never done that before. His fluffy little butt Is getting on my nerves!!!

I know there's a lot of logical explanations - it could be because the weather's changing now that it's cold and snowy and he can't go play outside. Or all the excitement in the house this week with guests for Christmas... but Im starting to think our first baby is already jealous lol. Maybe I'm reading too much into it.
