When should you schedule your first ob appt?!

Help, I'll be around 5 weeks tomorrow and some people are telling me to not even bother calling and scheduling my appt cuz I will be told to wait and call back in a couple of weeks. I've never heard of this before, this is my 4th pregnancy and I just find being told that weird. Anyone else?! When did you make your appt?

You should still call to at least let them know you're expecting. They'll take it from there.

I'm five weeks today and I called and made an appointment :) my first one is June 9th I'll be 7 weeks :) I would just call most places will set you up with an appointment

You can make your appointment it will just depend on the office when they will see you. You can schedule it though!

I called to make an appointment as soon as I found out I was pregnant. They usually don't want to see you until 8-10 weeks, but they had no problem with scheduling me that far in advance.

I called as soon as I got my BFP they had me come in a few days later to do a blood test to confirm and check my levels. They then had me come in every week for 2 or 3 weeks (can't remember) to do the blood test to make sure my levels were going up. They had me come in again a few weeks later to do my first ultrasound at 7 weeks. I go in again on the 5th for another ultrasound to make sure baby is continuing to grow healthy. And will be going in every 4 weeks after that for ultrasounds. I would call your dr and see what they want you to do not what others think you should do. Of your progesterone levels are low and they catch it they can put you on pills if they don't you can mc.

I called when I found out at 3w6d but they didn't schedule my appt until I was 8w. My Dr office sees you at 8w but every office is different.

Call, but they will probably set the appointment for 8-10 weeks out. But call now to make sure you get an appointment when it us needed.

I waited till i was at least 10 weeks to call  since most doctors won't see ya before then. My first appointment was at 15 weeks.
