stomach flu while on bc

so for the past 5 days, I have had the stomach flu. throwing up a few times, diarrhea, and not eating a lot. I am on the pill and I take it consistently every morning with no fail. the times I did throw up, it was about 3 to 4 hours after taking the pill. I would also poop out almost everything I tried to eat for about 2 days. my husband and I have sex without condoms and we had sex maybe once or twice while I was sick..but I wasn't feeling it so neither of us ever climaxed. yesterday, I finally felt great and we couldnt keep our hand off each other. he ended up coming inside me. my question is.. since I hadn't thrown up in about 2 days, I hadn't had any bowel movement since the day before... I'm just worried becauae everyone says the bc can fail if you have diarrhea or throw it up. well I hadn't had either in a while, so I would think the pill I took yesterday morning would have completely been fine and the pill I took this morning would be fine too to protect me. any thoughts?
