FTM necessities?

Question

So I’d like to know what some items are that you either couldn’t live without, or felt was a total waste? I am due in March and I feel very unprepared! A few examples are nursing covers, bottle warmers, swing/rocker recommendations, car seat canopies, and anything else you can recommend. Thank you!

All those things you listed are things I didn’t have and didn’t miss
For me the most useful thing was a baby carrier. It was the only way I could get things done the first few weeks, and it continued to be useful for months

Lanolin if you are breastfeeding! Don't worry about having too many cute newborn outfits, we lived in sleep n' plays for the first 3 months.

Bottle warmer is a necessity to me!!! Oh and a pump so you don’t get engorged because trust me that hurts. You’ll need lots of pads because lochia lasts a while. As far as for baby I think don’t waste money on a changing table I have one that I probably have only used a handful of times if anything I store a bunch of stuff on it that’s all. Don’t buy too many newborn diapers they will grow out of them faster than you think. Also a huge necessity for me is lots of burp rags or cloths. Oh and swaddlers. Hope this helps.

You definitely need burp clothes and lots of sleepers! And if you're breastfeeding, nipple pads! You could probably pass on hats (for newborn at least, i used and loved the 2 i received from the hospital), and socks because most sleepers have the built in feet

Skip the bottle warmer, we use room temp and it makes traveling easier. Love our rocker glider by fisher price it goes into 2 pieces and its awesome. Pack n play super useful. Nose frida is a must, wish we had gotten it sooner.
