Is it from teething??

My (formula fed) (teething) baby is 4 months old... in the past few days I noticed that she is pooping a lot, her poops look yellow and dark green-but she’s very active, screaming and smiling, with all this going on her butt is red but I continue to put diaper paste. . In the last 10 hours, she has pooped 4 times. She has no fever, doesn’t look dehydrated, when she cries; she has tears.

Yup! once they start drooling a lot, and swallowing all the drool they get a little booty rash, just like on their faces. drool is a bit more acidic and when swallowed or dripped all over their face causes the irritation

Bright green suggests they're not getting enough food, which has been true for us at least. An extra few ounces might help? Or an extra feed? Try it for two days and if it hasn't changed return to your normal feeds and call a doctor.

Did your baby recently get vaccines? Mine has had ~6-8 poopy diapers a day after his 4 month checkup.
