ectopic pregnancy
after arriving at the er on Xmas morning I was given an ultrasound, kind of really hopeful to leave shortly after getting an ultrasound and seeing our baby and hearing the heartbeat for the 1st time...we wanted to make sure before surprising family that day with announcement gifts. when they performed the ultrasound, my uterus had no sign of a baby, I started to get really upset- I would have known at 7w5d if I had miscarried surely, I found out at 3 weeks! so they did blood work and found my hcg levels to be at 21,000...and pretty quickly wheeled me up to an examination room where they did a transvaginal ultrasound so still hopeful, and confused- the tech would stop at certain shots and run into the next room (to see them blown up on a bigger screen) after doing so several times then bringing another set of eyes in to review what he had found, I heard only one thing as they quietly discussed the ultrasound...and it was "hemmorage" he said the OB team would meet me down there asap and I would be given answers. I was told I had a serious compilation and the baby had began trying to develop in my right ovary, the pregnancy was not valuable, and blood was already in my stomach... so my first surgery happened on Christmas day 2017. I woke up with severe pain and a broken heart. I have 3 incsicions one under my belly button and one above each ovary on the inside of my hips. has anyone else went through this? Have you struggled TTC afterwards? how long until I can have sex again??? right now we have been through so much and all I want is to get back to a normal day and have the ability to be intimate with the man I love after this little rough spot. it has been a week today....thank you ladies.......
