Will he be bullied for his name?

This is baby #3 for us and our first boy. I picked both of our daughters names so I agreed to a boys name DH loves and I’m fine with. I don’t love it, but he does so I agreed, and am choosing our sons middle name.

The name he chose is Slade (slay-de)

DH is black and I’m white so our DS will be biracial. Two people we’ve told the name to said our DS will get bullied and called “slave” especially because he’s biracial. I hadn’t even considered this and now I’m really worried. DH doesn’t think it’ll happen and doesn’t want to change the name.

I get that kids will pick on each other for anything but I don’t want to make my son an easy target, if that makes sense.
