3week old too much milk?

I have been worried that maybe I’m letting my baby eat too much so I have been pumping my breast milk to measure it and she’s 3 weeks old and drinks up to 5 or 6 ounces is that too much ? Could it be bad if she eat too much?

Are you pumping just to monitor how much she eats? You don’t need to do that. Breastfeeding is meant to be on demand. Babies eat when they’re hungry. There’s no need to monitor how much she’s eating. You won’t over feed her. There’s no such thing as portion control and dieting when it comes to breastfeeding.

We may be eating more from a bottle. I know my daughter did, too. Look up paced bottle feeding. Make sure you stop about every ounce/ounce and a half so that you can burp her and also gauge whether she’s still hungry. If she fussed and can’t be distracted, feed more. Otherwise, she might be done!
If your breastfeeding, don’t worry, she will stop when she’s full. From the breast should be 100% on demand. She will not eat too much.

I can’t tell how much did my baby eat while breastfeeding her at 1st... then she doesn’t want to have anything to do with my breast milk anymore then i have to formula feed her. When she was born i pump my extra milk and feed her from the bottles, she ate 2-3oz from newborn to 3-4weeks, then 3oz only up to 2months, i tried to push her up to 4oz and she barely made it. Now she is 15weeks old and only eat 5.5oz is her maximum, mostly just 4-4.5oz . 
Every baby is different, as long as your baby doesn’t throwing up then should be okay!
