do u have to pump?

im due next month and wondered do you have to pump because I see alot of woman talk about pumping. is there mums out there that just breast feed of the breast? I know some woman pump for different reasons but just wanted to know if it's a must?

If you’re always going to be with baby there’s absolutely no reason you’d have to pump. I wouldn’t pump at all if I didn’t have to work 3 days a week

I have to pump every morning to get some milk out because my boobs get really engorged. It hurts to feed him when my boobs are super full. I have a really good milk supply so i need my pump or else my boobs would be waaay to engorged

I’m a stay at home mom to a four month old and still haven’t opened my pump. My daughter still eats every two hours except overnight, so I really don’t need to. I think I will once she starts eating solids that way I have some to mix in with her food, but so far, it’s been boob since day one.

I bought a hand pump and used it maaaaybe a handful of times. Im a SAHM so didnt need to build up a freezer stock, and washing all the pump and bottle parts just wasnt worth it to me to even bother with, beyond giving my husband a chance to feed the baby with a bottle like he wanted. Women went thousands of years without breast pumps. Do what works for you.

Who are SAHM don’t pump and if they go out they schedule their outings around feedings.. so you don’t necessarily have
 to  pump but having a small stash for ie outings errands dad to utilize maybe something to consider...

You definitely don't have to pump if you're going to be staying home with your baby, and don't plan on leaving your child with anyone! I am going back to work in a couple of weeks so I am pumping since I won't be with my babies all day. I also had to pump in the beginning because my twins were preemies. But my sister is a stay-at-home mom and since she wasn't away from her baby at all in the first year, she never had to pump, and she breastfed until age 2. You may need to pump a bottle if you want to leave your baby with daddy or relatives or a sitter. Congrats! Hope the rest of pregnancy and birth goes well!!

i had to pump to really get my milk started after my daughter was born. I was producing a whole lot but once I started pumping oh wow it came and my daughter latched on much better. took almost 2 months to actually master breast feeding but totally worth it! she is 14 months now and still not stopping.

there are those who never have to. It seems many have to though. I did with my first. It was just complications that forced me to have to. This time I'm going to work again so I'll be at it again.
