When can you breastfeed a baby while laying down?

My mom told me not to feed her while laying down for at least 3 months because it can cause an ear infection. So I get up and put her in my lap to feed. When can you feed them without sitting up?

Breastfed baby’s don’t get ear infections like bottle fed babies do. It can happen, but less likely. Unless you find that your baby specifically gets infections easily or has ear issues, ignore her and feed your baby
