Range Rover Velar? Is it good? 21st Birthday

I don't have my license yet since living in London meant I just used Uber. I'm gonna get a car, then learn to drive it. 
Is it a good car? I don't know anything about cars.
I want a SUV, £50k-£80k, safe, good tech features. Do you have any suggestions?

You don’t have a License and you want a Range Rover to learn how to drive in ? To each their own but i would start with a smaller car first and learn the routes of driving attempt to get a license and then once you get the hang of driving then switch to a Range Rover......I wouldn’t jump off a plane with out a parachute 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’ve got a 2017 BMW X5 M, love it. Might be a bit out of your price range though. I suppose you could look at getting a used one that fits your budget.

You have to remember as a learning driver you will be tearing up your vehicle lol potholes curbs fender benders side swiping things. I’d get something smaller with less expensive repairs.

Honestly, from experience, the smaller the engine the better to start out with! Go for something like a 1.0 or 1.2 and when you’ve gotten more confident in driving then look to get a new car. Also.. to be able to ‘learn to drive the car’ you still have to take driving lessons and pass your test first. Unless you get Lerner driver insurance for someone else’s car who is willing to let you drive it and will sit with you while you drive as it’s illegal for you to be driving without a full licence and not have someone in the passenger seat who’s over 21 I think it is and has at least 4 years driving experience

It's a very expensive car to run and as a first car i wouldn't get something so big. start off with a smaller car your budget is quite big so maybe an a1/ a class / 1 series xxx
