Any advice on getting an almost 14 to walk?!

My baby will be 14 months in a couple of weeks and still doesn’t walk. Normally I wouldn’t mind but she also throws fits over being contained in public
She doesn’t want a stroller, she doesn’t want to be held, she wants to crawl over public flooring to explore but that’s not sanitary or pretty safe. 
It’d be nice to be able to put shoes on her and let her explore, any advice what helped you get your baby to walk?!

We got my daughter one of those push toys so she felt like she was playing since they usually come with stuff to do, but was getting use to walking upright pushing it all over the house . Within a week of playing with it she was walking on her own. Hope this helps!

Some babies walk as late as 18 months. My son is almost 16 months & he'll take a few steps and second guess himself and just lower himself back down to the floor. As long as your LO has been cruising & lifting up on stuff, should be ok. My hubby will just try to get him to hold our hand(s) & he'll walk like a pro. He really doesn't need us but it's a matter of building up his confidence. He can go from sitting to standing on his own as well.
