Dry after sex or just sore?

So my bf and I have always had great sex and normally after I’m a bit sore for a bit but sometimes for the rest of the day it will almost hurt to pee. I’m not sure if it’s just cause it needs a rest or if afterwards I’m too dry. It almost feels like it’s dry but while we’re having sex I’m perfectly fine and don’t need lube. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this happen and if so what helped?
