Play yards, flat head, and helmets.
Hi all!
I have a ten week old who has slept in her pack n play since birth in our room. She is a little stubborn baby (like her mom hehe) and sleeps with her head tilted to the left every night. Hubs and I would move her head, but within a few minutes she would have it right back to that angle.
Now, we went to our 2 mo appointment and the dr noticed she is flat on that side. We were told to be aggressive with her and during the day make sure she's not on that side at all. I keep her on her opposite side or tummy only.
I also recently moved her to her crib instead of the pack and play.
I was wondering if anyone else's baby had experienced this. I am interested to see if the harder surface of the pack and play didn't exactly help this situation. I'm hoping the move to her crib will help a tad bit as it isn't so hard.
The dr said we have two months to try and get it rounded out on our own. I'm nervous we will have to go the helmet route. I'll do anything for my baby but I'm dreading the 2-4K price tag as I've read time and time again that insurance doesn't cover it.
Has anyone else been able to avoid the helmet by their own means? I'll try anything!
