Postpartum Advice?? Please!
I'm a 2nd time mom due March 30th. I'm remembering back to when I gave birth to my son 2 years ago.
I had a 12 hour labor which included lots of stitches afterward. I remember wishing I had taken some of the ice pads from the hospital home with me to help the swelling and pain, possibly a donut pillow to sit on because of the pressure when sitting flat(which I didn't have last time), and I felt uncomfortable and had severe postpartum depression for months...so I wore my husbands basketball shorts and t-shirts for at least a month afterward and stayed home mostly. I also pumped milk so I sat around the house a lot with no shirt on pumping and I felt yucky all the time. I had my son in December so it was easy to hide out at home in the winter.
Can anyone share advice on some must have products or tips/tricks to have or get prepared for the postpartum healing process?
Now that I have a two year old I know after having the baby I can't just hibernate like I did the last time. I'll have to be up and about taking care of my son and my mental health. It'll also be spring so I'm sure we will want to be out of the house often. I want to be as comfortable and prepared for my self-care as possible. I'll be on my own pretty much since my husband can't take any time off of work and he works at 5pm and doesn't get home until 4am.
Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom, and advice on products or tips!
