i have a 3cm endometrioma on my left ovary. but my ob gyne told me to not yet remove because i still have a normal right ovary to ovulate. she just told me to try and try conceiving. haaays. my husband and i trying to conceived for almost 6years 😭 and since high school like 13years up to now im 28 years old i am suffering still from dysmennorhea. sooo much pain during my first day of period. i just dont want it to experience it forever.

I was just told I have a 2.8 cm endometrioma on my ovary and I was recommended surgery right away. At which time my Dr is going to do the HSG test while I'm under. She says there is a 40% chamce of losing ovary has anyone heard of this before? The surgery is laparoscopic

I just had my surgery and the endometrioma disappeared before I was opened up. My pain didn’t resolve (granted I only had one cycle since.) Surgery helped my anxiety more than my ability to conceive. 
If your doc doesn’t recommend surgery, ask about checking your tubes. They do different tests to evaluate and it’s less invasive. 
If you really want surgery though, there is nothing wrong with asking for a second opinion:)
