Have you got pregnant using saliva for lube?

So apparently saliva can kill/damage sperm... Foreplay for us always involves saliva ending up involved, so should we stop or wipe it off whilst trying to conceive 🙁

I wouldn’t recommend using your saliva if you’re actively TTC, just so you’re not lowering your own chances of conceiving. However, it is definitely possible to get pregnant with saliva involved. We used saliva occasionally during intercourse and ended up pregnant. Now that we’re actively TTC, we’re using preseed

My husband and I used saliva and I’m 6.5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child. I’ve heard it can be a barrier but most lubes are worse... of course, they do have some that you can use that doesn’t have the ingredients to kill sperm.

Saliva is the first digestive acid encountered, it is definitely digesting your man’s sperm. You should never be using it for lube even if not trying to get pregnant, it dries out. Invest in some great lube...so many options, water based, oil based, synthetic based, mixed.
