Conjunctivitis?

My 7 month old randomly just started having a reddish eye and green discharge. It’s just one eye and it doesn’t seem to bug him much. I have had to clean it out 3x and each time it’s like a snotty booger. I will be calling his Ped tomorrow morning to make sure he doesn’t need antibiotic eye drops which I am sure he does since it’s green. Is this pink eye or could he have gotten this from a cold maybe? He hasn’t been sick but I just got over a terrible upper respiratory infection.
