hand tattoos

so, i only have a few tattoos, and one of them is a heart on my finger (i wouldn’t actually consider it a hand tat bc it’s so tiny), but i’ve been wanting another one on the little web area between my thumb and my index finger. the guy who did my heart has a REALLY heavy hand, and surprisingly it has not faded at all. i’m a germaphobe and wash my hands like 100x a day, so that’s impressive imo. i just want the opinion(s) of those with hand tattoos (preferably colored bc that’s what i’m looking at rn). how’s your experience been so far? has it faded more than you expected it to bc it was colored? or does it look just as nice? would it all depend on the artist? help!
