Can you girls explain your experiences with losing your virginity?

I’m almost 18 and have been dating my boyfriend for a year and I think I finally want to take that step with him. He’s not a virgin if that changes anything.. I just want to know how yalls experiences losing your virginity went because I’ve heard a lot of “it’ll hurt”, “it sucks”, “it was great”, “it was awkward” and just want to know REAL ladies experiences. Like how did it feel, did it hurt, how to prepare, etc. I don’t have a hymen so I don’t personally think it will hurt but I really don’t know. Please help me on this because I’m nervous and want to know. (no hate please)

For me, it was awkward. I lost my virginity to a guy that I was in love with, but I didn't actually know him all that well. It wasn't painful for me, but honestly, I just didn't feel anything at all. Sex didn't last very long, but the whole time, I was just thinking "Is it in?" That said, I don't think it's a great idea to base how your experience will be on how other people's experiences were. If you're in a committed relationship with someone you love and who loves you, I think your overall experience will be a positive one, and if not, sex usually gets better the longer you're with someone.

I had to stop the girl I was with from fingering me with super long pointy finger nails. Felt like a dull razor blade inside me. Instead she just rubbed my clit with her finger tip the same way a woman with a long manicure would type her pin number when she makes a purchase. For me it didn't hurt much. A little at first but that's it. Granted there was no condom or lube or anything being used so we definitely could of made it be even more pain free. Luckily I was weirdly relaxed though. I wasn't dating the guy, we were just friends, and we had talked about it for a while but I made him wait till one day I just decided I was ready to do it (I had been scared about it because everyone was telling me how much it'd hurt). He wasn't a virgin and luckily knew what he was doing so I think that helped.

I was with my boyfriend for three ish months when we booked two nights away in a hotel for a get away weekend, he was older and wasn't a Virgin but I was. We had done pretty much everything else up till this point. I was fairly nervous but I trusted him and he was very respectful, asking if I wanted music and how I wanted the lighting etc. It hurt for the first few minutes but we took it slow and he listened when I asked him to slow down/pause. We went for like three hours and did quite a few sessions over the weekend, I had to stop one because I was too sore but he completely understood.
Long story short if you trust and respect each other it will be fine, and as my best friend's mum said: don't try to make it special, just get it over and done with and the best will still be yet to come. (Im 18 btw).

Sex doesn't hurt if you are comfortable and attracted to the person. I lost my virginity at 16 and it was amazing. I'm still with my partner 6 years later. Just take your time, and enjoy it.

i was drunk and it was a one night stand (yikes i know, not like that anymore) sooo it wasn't bad or anything but i definitely didn't know what i was doing. i would say you're in a much better scenario because i'm assuming you're comfortable with your partner, so it should be totally fine! it didn't hurt for me and i don't know many people that said it hurt, but rather it can just be uncomfortable at first. just make sure there's lots a foreplay and always use protection!

don't have sex just to lose your virginity.  trust your bf fully and you will have a great time.   yes there may be some soreness or discomfort your first time but relax.  enjoy the moment with your boyfriend and tip shave or trim or keep it however you want. its your body.   just be comfortable that's what is most important.    I regretted my first time and I was not comfortable with the boy.       you do you. and all will be okay!
