Mirena IUD Problems? pain and constant period ? Please Help!!!!

I’m getting it checked this week but before I do I’d like to know if anyone has gone through this with the Mirena and has switched or completely removed it.. thank you ! (Please lmk which one you got if you switched it )

So I got my Mirena IUD one year ago. And obviously has spotting for a long time after which was a normal side affect. After that it was pretty normal. But for about 3 months now I’ve been having a constant period.

They go on for a whole It sometimes stops for about a week and at the very most two weeks... which sucks when it’s supposed to be a month. Not only do I constantly have a period but my cramps are UNBEARABLE and nothing helps, not Advil or Tylenol.

Thankfully the only upside is that my periods are no longer heavy and clotty as they were before I got this IUD but it’s a pain when you can only have oral sex once a fucking month. Um no.
