Baby’s eye color

My son will be 8 months old in a week and his eyes started out blue and got darker and darker. They’re still blue. Just a deep ocean blue, and towards the pupil it’s brownish. So I am guessing they will turn brown. My eyes are brown and my husbands eyes are blue. When do their eyes change permanently? Also, some days his eyes look hazel. My mom had hazel eyes so I was wondering if he has a chance of them being hazel.
