Popular/classic vs. unique??

I am torn between one of my favorite names but it has gotten sooo popular it’s on the top 20. The other name we like is beautiful and vintage but not common at all. If you could choose your own name would you rather have had a popular/classic name or vintage more unique name?

a mix of both. I hate how common my whole name was, but i wouldn't want somthing weird or crazy no one could spell. I already had people constantly misspell my easy name 🙄

My name is pretty unique...but also somewhat popular? idk... haven't met many Carol's in my day and the ones I did had one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.... *shrug*

I always thought my name was boring and i wanted something more unique and “romantic.” My hubby on the other hand is a Charlie (super popular now, but not for his age group) and he always wanted to be Matt or Alex or something haha. So I guess the grass is always greener? 🤷🏼‍♀️

I hated growing up having multiple people in my class with my name. 
I go by my unique nickname now. 
just like I wouldn't pick a name from the top 20,and that sucked because there was a few I've always loved that I see everywhere now

we go with traditional names eoth a story. regardless of their prevalence, one of our sons has an extremely common name, one somewhat, and one a name most people have never heard of
