Strep while pregnant?

Last week I went to the doctor to get a flu and strep test done because I felt like crap. My doctor (not an OB just a regular doc) ran tests, told me I had neither strep or the flu, and to just take Tylenol. Well, I felt like crap this past week and have gotten over it these past few days. Fast forward a week, I feel fine, but I got an email saying my strep test actually WAS positive.

Could this harm the baby, seeing that I had strep and did nothing for it (because I was told I didn't have it)? Like I said, I'm over it now with loads of liquids and Tylenol and I'm back to feeling great.
