Third time was quick

Alondra

My daughter is now 3 months old but I'm barely writing my birth story. This was my third child and my due date was 10/11/17. I had a rough pregnancy and kept hoping I'd have my baby girl early. At my 37 week prenatal check up my doctor checked me and I was 4 cm dilated, 80% effaced and baby was positioned right. Great, baby will be here soon I thought. Wrong. I began having Braxton hicks at 38 weeks, I thought this was it, my previous pregnancies I didn't have any because I was induced. They bothered me so much that I went to l&d.; My doctor was there so he checked but I was still at a 4 so I got sent home. 39 weeks came around and still nothing but Braxton hicks, I was so annoyed I just wanted baby out already. The doctor told me if I still am at a 4 at my 40 week check up, we'd discuss inducing. The nurse told me I probably wasn't going to make it to the appointment. She was right! On October 9 I was having contractions again but they were far apart. I went to sleep because they weren't bothering me much. I end up waking up at 2:30 a.m because the contractions came back but I was able to go to sleep. 3:30 comes around and they begin to bother me more BUT, I was able to go back to sleep. 4:40ish I woke up AGAIN but this time I couldn't go back to sleep, they were too painful. My husband noticed that I was in too much pain so he wanted to take me into l&d.; I told him no because I was probably still at a 4 and they were going to send me home.He finally convinced me to go get checked to at least ease our minds. Our hospital is only 5 mins away but that 5 min drive was terrible, I had 3 contractions during they drive. We get to the hospital around 5:10 a.m and I had to stop walking a few times because the contractions were unbearable. The registering lady starts asking me questions but I was in too much pain to even answer so my husband answered for me. We finally get into the triage like at 5:25 and the nurses ask me the same questions, I was so annoyed and asked them to just check me. Lol. They checked me and I was 6-7 cm dilated already! Yay! I immediately asked for the epidural and they begin to tell me they're gonna try to help me get through it whether I get the epidural or not but I was not having. I get on a wheelchair and they wheel me to my room like at 5:45. They check to see if I've dilated anymore and now I'm about 8-9 cm dilated. I immediately start crying because I realized I wasn't getting an epidural, it was too late for that. They page my doctor to let him know I'm there and he says he's on his way. I start having this burning sensation and the urge to pee, I guess the baby was getting ready to come. By now my contractions are 2 mins apart. Suddenly, I get the urge to poop. I knew this was it, the baby was coming. My body begins to start pushing, and nurse is telling me to wait, the doctor will be there soon. But I can't control it. The nurse checks me and I'm already crowning. She tells me to push one more time and my baby girl was out. My husband was so shocked and proud of me. Right after my baby came out, my doctor walks in. He only delivered my placenta. My baby girl arrived at 5:54 a.m. on October 10,2017 weighing 7 lbs 9 oz perfectly healthy.

This is her now at 3 months
