Gift??

The other day my boyfriend was scrolling through his notes on his phone, and out of the corner of my eye of one that said "buy gift, Chefwiz!!" (one of his nicknames is Chefwiz-not sure where it came from). my birthday was on the sixth of this month, and now I'm curious as to if it was about buying a gift for me. Part of me kinda hopes it is, but part of me really hopes he doesn't get me a gift cause we're fairly new as a couple, and I'm not one who adores getting gifts, as I feel like I then need to reciprocate.
