Period being dumb

Update - nothing much has changed except a tad more discharge.. I’m not taking a test till at least Saturday or Sunday depending on how it’s looking

So I took a test last Thursday ( 5days before AF) and it was negative. Took anther this past Monday (1 day before AF) because I had no discharge like I’d usually do the day before I start bleeding and negative. I started light/medium amount of brown discharge on Tuesday and then thinking okay AF is coming along.. yesterday, I had yellow discharge and VERY light brown when I wiped only. Today is less than what I had yesterday... I’d hate to waste another test.. when should I take one of this keeps up? I’m guessing later today the bleeding will kick in but who knows ( crossing fingers it doesn’t ) . This would be my 3rd month off the pill and TTC so maybe my period is skipping due to just that and not being prego.. ADVICE ??
