How often do you ladies get check ups? Physicals and stuff

I’m 24 & I haven’t gone in for a physical in about 6 or 7 years. I’m absolutely terrified of being told I have some kind of terminal disease. I’ve never had a Pap smear, have never been to a Gyno either. I have no kids, and I’ve been with my boyfriend for almost 4 years, I’ve only had 2 sexual partners, my ex and my boyfriend now. Please don’t judge me ladies, I know it’s bad for me not to go, I’m just so scared.

Definately  go get a pap, your ob can do basic blood work.... and they won't check u for terminal diseases without symptoms so you're good there.

I go for blood work (everything) twice a year and a pap smear once a year. Doctors ask me if I have any symptoms and I say no but they still give me a requisition for blood work! They probably get annoyed but one must be proactive about their health. I would suggest you go, certain ailments don’t present any symptoms.

I go to the gyno once a year. Just because you’ve only been with one person in the past few years doesn’t mean you don’t need a Pap smear! They’re super important. It can help women detect cervical cancer. Mine told me I had to start getting them either 3 years after I became sexually active, or after I turned 21. I chose to be 21 when I had my first one. It’s not as bad as we all make it sound. I know you’re scared to find out you have some terrible disease, but imagine if you went and found out you were perfectly healthy? That’s always a good feeling!

I go yearly. Hiding from doctors doesn’t stop you from getting sick, it just prevents you from being able to detect it early enough to hopefully do something about it.
