Keto diet buddy anyone ??? 😁

I’m 16, play softball, and lost 19pounds in less than a Month on the Keto diet. I’ve encouraged my friends to eat healthier but thy don’t have the want to keep it going so I’m on this weight loss journey alone. My family wanted to start loosing weight and stopped so I’m the only one. Everyone says I’m crazy, cause I wasn’t fat in the first place....and honestly they were right, everyone says I’m gonna end up looking sick and everyone in the locker room says that I look skinny now but pick out all the negative effects of loosing weight such as I lost my butt, my legs look like “chicken legs”, and so much more. I’m not gonna give up but I would just like someone to have that will be on the journey with me. So Keto buddy anyone ??

Keto is not a good diet, especially for a growing body. It’s not sustainable. When you stop doing it the weight will come back. Your body needs carbohydrates, this is its preferred source of fuel. The reason Keto “works” is bc you are carb starving your body. This is not healthy. The best diet for long term success is one like the Mediterranean diet. Mostly plants, some oil, a little dairy, infrequent lean meat. This is a diet you can do forever and be healthy. It won’t be fast, but it will help you develop a good relationship with food. Focus on what your body is capable of, your strength, rather than the number on the scale.

She's losing weight this quickly because of keto. Probably 10-15 lbs of it is just water. This is normal on keto, people drop huge amounts of weight very quickly because carbs bind to water. You cut the carbs, you shed the water. 20lb down in a few weeks on keto is nothing to be alarmed about.

I’ve been on the keto diet for a few months now. There are lots of fb pages you can add for support. I lost 15 lbs in the first few weeks and then its 1-2 lb lost once a week or every two weeks. The Initial is just water weight.  Total I’ve lost 24 lbs. I suggest adding some of the fb pages.

You did loose weight quickly but in my teens I recall loosing 20 pounds in two weeks after starting a new sport season. I didn’t change my eating routine but running up and down a field or treading water or swimming laps for 3 hours 5 days a week will do that to you. Definitely speak to your doctor though about your diet and exercise, they’ll give you more reliable information on how sustainable keto is.

You're losing weight too fast, it's not actually good for you. In 3 weeks close to 20 pounds is too much too fast. Eating healthy is awesome yes but dropping weight so quickly is going to send your body into shock. You're going to end up sick.
