Water Intake Recommendation?

What amount have of water have you been advised to drink daily? I have a Dr. and midwife, the midwife told me I should be drinking 5 quarts (160oz) daily plus probably more because I’m tall. This amount is a struggle- I feel like I’m going to explode!

I was told minimum 80 oz, ideally 100 oz a day.

I was told a minimum of half your weight in ounces daily. For example, if you weigh 140 drink at least 70 ounces.

I wasn't advised on any amount to drink. If that's too much for you, then don't drink so much. I have no idea how much 5 quarts is, but with my son, I hardly drank any. with my daughter, I drank a 16 ounce glass of water with every snack and meal. I was told I was over doing it, lol.

My OB told me to drink when I'm thirsty and as long as I'm going to the bathroom more than 3x per day, I'm fine.   Water makes my reflux worse so there's no way I could drink more than 5-6 glasses a day in addition to the other fluids I'm consuming.

I was told to drink my weight in ounces. 
So 120 pounds, drink 120 ounces of water. 
Not hard. 
I just carry around a 32 oz Yeti cup and fill it up 4-6 times each day.
