My entire family is planning this vacation in Punta Cana and I’ll be almost 6 months pregnant and not sure I want to even go. Don’t want to risk any complications or Zika!

Punts Cana has a higher level of mosquitos than some other sunny destinations. I would never risk it but it’s something you should discuss with your doctor. 
Also do some of your own research on the virus within Punta Cana and make an informed decision. I'll be 8 months going to Costa Rica my doctor told me to have a great time. Just ask your Dr

I talked to my OB before even going to Hollywood, FL. She said to wear bug spray and to not do any kind of swamp tours, but that it was fine for me to go. I did not get bit at all. I spent most of my time on the windy beach, though.
